ORUCC Wayfinding November 16 & 17

WAYFINDING

The Soul-tasks of Aging

toward a Theology of the Elder Years

Wednesday November 16th 9:30-11:15am &

Thursday November 17th 4:00-5:15pm over ZOOM

Greetings Wayfinders,

I look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow for our third Wayfinding gathering. We will revisit our spiral timelines and engage in a process of looking back for anything that calls for our attention and for the healing energy of God. We will seek wholeness and deeper integration with the aim of moving forward in our lives with more peace.

This is your reminder to bring your timelines with you to your Wayfinding session. I do have many of yours.

Our November themes are:

self compassion, forgiveness, peace with the past,

inner harmony, healing, integration & harvesting.

In December we will gather on the fourth Wednesday of the month for December 21st, the longest night of the year at our usual time. We will engage the theme of the Mystery of God.

Blessings,

Pastor Julia

May God keep you as you slumber and rise. Here is a night prayer for you.

Lord, it is night.

The night is for stillness.

Let us be still in the presence of God.

It is night after a long day.

What has been done has been done;

what has not been done has not been done;

let it be.

The night is dark.

Let our fears of the darkness of the world and of our own lives

rest in you.

The night is quiet.

Let the quietness of your peace enfold us,

all dear to us,

and all who have no peace.

The night heralds the dawn.

Let us look expectantly to a new day,

new joys,

new possibilities.

In your name we pray.

Amen.

This prayer is called Night Prayer from A New Zealand Prayer Book
