Children and Youth programming begins September 11th! Take a look at our videos below as previews of our classrooms and to share in our excitement and joy.
Have you updated your child’s info? If not, please complete the following Google FORM
8:30am-11:00am Nursery is open! Children under the age of five will transition to the nursery after the music from 9:00-9:15. (Yes! We have a staffed nursery ready and excited to play with our youngest children!).
9:00am – 9:15am PreK-Grade 2 Children are invited to sing with Julie in the William Johnson room at 9:00-9:15. After the music, their classroom “guides” (Jill Westberg, Josie Gilbert, and Karen Jaehnig) will lead the children in a story about when Baby Jesus was presented to God using wooden props. Curious to know what that will look like?
9:00 am Children in grades 3-5 will begin their morning in the Ruby Bridges Room with classroom “guides” Paul Vash, Sally Allen, and Jadyn Gilbert. This class will begin with the six week module written by Tammy Martens, “Blessed be the Peacemakers.” Through stories, books, art, reflection, and meditation practices, they will consider peace within themselves, each other, and the world. Curious about what that will look like?
8:30 am: Our Whole Lives for Middle Schoolers
Middle school youth learn about in a safe and accepting space about sexuality, how to define their own values, anatomy and physiology, where they can can discuss personal concerns about puberty and body image, gender expression, stereotypes, disability, healthy relationships, redefining abstinence, consent education, and beyond. This is a program and curriculum designed to offer accurate information presented in developmentally appropriate ways as well as:
- Affective and emotional learning
- Guiding values and principles
- Activities that help participants clarify values and improve decision-making skills
- A safe and supportive peer group
- Acceptance of diversity
- A social justice approach to inclusive sexuality education
