Dear friends, this has been a heavy week. Many may be wondering what to do with the fear, sorrow and anger that we carry. This is a time when it is good to be together in solidarity and in faith.
In response to the tragic killing of Renee Nicole Good and the ongoing threats to the community by ICE raids in Minneapolis, ORUCC members and friends are invited by
WI Faith Voices for Justice to join a solidarity vigil sponsored by Voces de la Frontera:
Friday, January 9th at 5:00 p.m.
Meet at the top of State Street; Participants are invited to bring candles to support our collective grieving.
In the invitation below, Voces de la Frontera writes:
“Gather with community to grieve, connect, and take action. We need each other. We can show up and fight for each other. Through solidarity, we can keep each other safe.”
To this we say: AMEN!
