Rev. Kate Mackey has been recommended to us by our Pastoral Search Committee as the candidate for the Associate Pastor for Children, Youth & Families. Recently, we mailed a brochure to help you Meet Kate Mackey, which shares more about Kate, her ministry, and her family.
The Candidating Weekend will be May 5-7, 2023. This is a time for ORUCC members and Kate to become more acquainted with each other and for Kate to preach and co-lead the service on Sunday. There are several opportunities for you to meet Kate and introduce yourselves!
On Friday May 5: 6-8 pm, Kate will join our regularly-scheduled Family Game Night at the church. We especially invite youth, families, and youth volunteers. As always, all of the church family are welcome!
On Saturday May 6, at the church and via Zoom, we will be hosting several “meet & greet” sessions, for which up to 20 people can sign up. These will be ‘hosted’ or facilitated by members of the search team and leadership team; all generations are encouraged to participate. Light refreshments will be provided by our Catering Team! The sessions are all in Fellowship Hall, except the virtual session “C:”

C: 10:45-11:30 virtual only, via Zoom hosted by Deanna Blanchard.

On Sunday, May 7, Kate will co-lead and preach during our 10 a.m. Worship Service. Immediately afterward, there will be a congregational meeting to vote on this recommendation from the pastoral search committee. This meeting will be simultaneously held over Zoom, to make this important event accessible to as many members as possible. The link for the congregational meeting is:
