Sonia K. Weaver’s book “What is Palestine-Israel?” addresses Israel’s need for a home, their significant fears and their fierce response. Israel’s exaggerated response stems from deep anxieties. The Palestinians have become more and more discouraged by the Israeli actions and have eventually become very militant as well. They feel that Israel is trying to eliminate them to take over the entire region. Many Israeli and Palestinian groups, with the help of groups from other countries, are trying to find peaceful solutions, and to help all people caught up in the disaster. 

In our discussion we will become aware of what some of the issues are, possible solutions, and how we might help.
