June 8 Film: “Sarura”
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the film No Other Land is no longer available for presentation this Sunday (June 8th, 5 pm, Christ Presbyterian Church, Madison). In its place, the organizers will be screening Sarura: Nonviolent Action Against Occupation, a highly acclaimed film that we hope you will appreciate just as much. Sarura tells the story of a group of young Palestinians using cameras and nonviolent actions to return their people to land that was taken from them. Introducing the film will be peace activist Cassandra Dixon. Registration is required. Register here.

About the film: For half a decade, Basel Adra, a Palestinian activist, films his community of Masafer
Yatta being destroyed by Israel’s occupation, as he builds an unlikely alliance with an Israeli journalist who wants to join his fight. No Other Land is an unflinching account of a community’s mass expulsion and acts as a creative resistance to Apartheid and a search for a path towards equality and justice.
