CORRECTED ANNOUNCEMENT 

Please note the corrected time for the Garden Work Day – 9:00 am on Saturday, August 20.

Also, a huge thank you to the Dyars for their work on our east garden

Everyone with a hedge trimmer or a chainsaw is invited to come to the church and trim the woody plants around the fence on Saturday, August 20 at 9 am. The fence will be replaced soon and the bushes are overgrown. The brush will be hauled away 2 weeks later, on September 4. If you want to stick around and trim the shrubs along the education wing or weed the flower bed outside the back door, feel free to do so. 

We had more than 3 inches of rain last weekend so watering is not a priority task this week. Thank you to Susan Dovell, Chris Thomas and Ruth Ann Berkholtz who watered flower beds and to Jill Westberg who weeded in the meditation garden area. We also owe s debt of gratitude to Sandra and Gene Dyar who care for the big flower bed east of the parking lot. It always looks lush and beautiful. A big thanks to George Nestler who hauled away the huge pile of weeds from the rain garden, too.
